Thermoforming and cutting molds consist of two stages as follows:
-
Forming and cutting stage: This is the stage where the desired shape is given to the plate that has been heated in the oven, through several consecutive stages of vacuuming, blowing, and mechanical drivers pushing the material into the cavity. The most important element here is to cool it properly so that it takes the desired shape. At the same stage, the formed product is cut into the desired shape and with precise framing to obtain a product with clear shape and edges. In this technique, the product is completely cut so that reverse drivers eject the product for the next stage to pick it up.
-
Stacking stage: This is the final stage in the mold, where the products coming from the forming and cutting stage are stacked together, making it easy to obtain ready-to-pack sets.
Thermoforming molds are distinguished by their ability to shape plastic or organic sheets quickly and efficiently, making them the fastest in shaping packaging products.
